It’s taken me over a year to edit this page; I’ve finally got round to it. This blog started in May 2006 when I became involved with the Nauvoo Pageant. Those who have been away from home will know how important it is to keep in touch with people. I realised that many people were going to want to hear about my involvement with the Nauvoo Pageant and so I decided a blog was the best way. Personal emails are still important, but for people who just want to hear how you’re doing it’s ideal. Anyone at home could go on the blog and see what I was up to.

So, it went from there. I updated the blog as much as I could before, during and after the Nauvoo Pageant in 2006 trying to keep it informative and entertaining. Seeing that it was a success and that people liked it as a way of keeping ‘in touch’ I carried it on with any relevant events. When I became involved with the Nauvoo Pageant in 2007 I updated the blog again before, during and after. It was even a great way to tell people about my mission call. Now what is going to happen to the blog now I’m finished with the Pageant and I’m going on a Mission? It’ll continue. If I can , I’ll update it during my mission somehow. There are many ways to do so, even if I have to write home and get them to put something online. Very shortly I’ll be changing the name of the blog to something creative like Matt’s Blog so it’s not confined to the Pageant.
